HD7

Registry Insight- HD7 Crawler

Built between 1940 and 1950 the HD7 was powered by a General Motors 3 cylinder diesel measuring 213Cubic Inches with a 3-71 Supercharger. Power was rated at 57 drawbar hp and 68.68 belt hp with machine weight without implements being 6350kg. Production was at the Springfield Illinois plant with standard gauge models measuring 48" and HD7W wide gauge variants measuring 63". 
The Machine shown below is a HD7W variant fitted with a dozer blade and winch spotted at a rally in Victoria.

    I have a hd7 and need new clutches, were do I locate the numbers please. Regards Shane

    I have one in Toowoomba Qld, runs fine, has the usual problem with sticking steering clutches but few back and forth and there's no problems with them, sometimes need to run a bit kerosene through the clutches and adjust the brakes but then she's back at it, I bought it 20 odd years ago from a timber mill out of miles qld, for $5,000 + $650 to low loader it to Toowoomba and I've never looked back, I'll fill out the registration form with all the Serial number details and pictures of it, asap and after if anyone's interested it's for sale guess I shouldn't have said how much I paid but I'm selling my farm and needs a good home.

    hi, where would i find some ID pates or numbers on a HD7. My dad recently picked 1 up but it was in a bushfire and is hard to see anything resembling an ID plate. There is a plate down behind the left foot pedal but it just looks like a flat piece of sheet metal now. Cheers
