Hamilton Pastoral Museum Rally 2023

Here are a few photos from the historic gathering of Long Fender 20-35s at the Hamilton Pastoral Museum earlier this month. The event marked the 100th Birthday of the Museum's own 20-35 and was joined by the only two other known 20-35 Long Fenders, the orange example from the Wheatlands museum in Warracknabeal and the Light Green version currently being restored by Glen Sobey.

Among the other Allis tractors gathered were a model L Restoration project along with one of the last Allis Tractors sold in Australia the impressive 4W-305 which has been restored by McKee's Garage and Engineering who were the original selling dealer.

The photos have come from the Hamilton Pastoral Museums facebook

Reader's Story- WD Allis Chalmers

I have recently received possession of my grandfathers “old Allis”

It is original and running well in good working order

I plan to use it to rake hay this season

I had a couple of photos taken with him and the tractor on his 100 th birthday ( he is active and still lives on the farm ) quite a guy!

Made for some great photos with four genarations

He traded in the WC and bought the WD brand new .It lived in the long shed behind all the horse gear with a fiat 615 parked in front of it and then later model johnnys hiding it from view

I remember cutting hay with pop on the mudguard and feeding out until the fiat turned up and it was parked up I loved the Allis and used to crank it over every time I visited with the handle. It was promised to me and I liked the fact it was safe in the shed

I came home after working in the norther territory to discover my dad had given it to a cousin of his

He has no interest in machinery at all

I have worked on getting it back ever since and now have it back home

Thought you might like the story

Cheers

Model L 15-25 Tractor
