Feature Tractor
To kick things along a bit I thought for the first Feature Tractor I would add my first restoration project. If you would like to share your tractor(s) please don't hesitate in emailing me at aussieallischalmers@outlook.com
My Allis Chalmers starting point will be whole other story for down the track. I had been on the lookout for an Allis of my own for just on twelve months when we found the WF presented here. Having not ever seen a WF in the flesh there was the rarity factor which appealed to me whilst attending a vintage tractor pull and display in Wunghnu Victoria. The tractor was owned by a collector of all makes of Vintage tractors in the area and after striking up conversation he was willing to sell the tractor to me. We happily collected the WF on July 1st 1995.

As first sighted at the Wunghnu Vintage Tractor Pull in 1995. |
The tractor itself was an older restoration that ran very well and was able to be enjoyed straight away. As time went on it was decided to give the tractor a tidy up and paint it to match the rest of our collection as previously it had been repainted the later shade of Persian Orange. Also on the list of jobs was to replace the front tyres which were worn through and change a few old gaskets on the engine, otherwise there was nothing else to do.

Luckily through my grandfather we had some good connections in the Vintage Tractor hobby who helped with the final painting and tuning prior to it's rally debut at the Echuca Steam Rally in 1996.
